Anděl u mého stolu / An Angel at My Table

Životopisný snímek vycházející z autobiografické trilogie významné novozélandské básnířky a prozaičky Janet Frameové, která ve své tvorbě těžila především z vlastních prožitků. Film sleduje její osudy od dětství a dospívání ve skromných podmínkách, přes chybnou diagnózu schizofrenie a léčbu elektrošoky až po získání mezinárodního věhlasu. Citlivě natočený snímek stojí na hereckých výkonech tří představitelek (především debutující Kerry Foxové)  ztvárňujících hlavní hrdinku v různém věku. Anděl u mého stolu je druhý celovečerní film novozélandské režisérky Jane Campionové, která se do širšího diváckého povědomí zapsala především filmem Piano (1992).  Vedle domácích ocenění získala za biografii Janet Frameové na MFF v Benátkách1990 Zvláštní cenu poroty a cenu FIPRESCI.

A biographic film that is based on the autobiographical trilogy written by the famous New Zealand poet and writer Janet Frame, whose worked is largely based on her own experiences. The film follows the fortunes of her humble childhood and adolescence, through her misdiagnosis of schizophrenia and resulting electroshock therapy and ultimately to when she gains international fame. This delicately shot film stands on the performances of the three ‘Janet Frames’ (primarily debutant Kerry Fox), representing the main character at different ages. Angel at My Table is the second feature film by New Zealand director Jane Campion, who is better know through the film The Piano (1992). In addition to domestic awards won for the biography of Janet Frame at the  MFF Venice 1990 revieved the Grand Special Jury Prize and the Filmcritica award.
