In the summer of 1983 in Kraków, Poland, prisoners sentenced to death are not informed of the date of their execution. As Jędzrej waits for his lover, Magda, in the visitation hall of the Montelupich Political Detainment Centre, a sun shower pours down on Kraków. Each visit could be their last.
